THERAPY

I am available for therapy sessions for Washington State residents both in my downtown Winthrop office and via video-conference/phone.

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
I work from a holistic model of healing which includes the body, mind, spirit, and community. Research repeatedly demonstrates that each of these contributes to a whole, integrated sense of self. Throughout therapy we will spend time on the areas that need attention and healing. This is a highly interactive process directed by values and goals. We will cultivate skills in mindfulness and self-compassion with an emphasis on empowerment and long-term, sustainable change.

COUPLES THERAPY
We are interconnected and interdependent individuals who are shaped and influenced by relationships/family/community. In our work we will use communication strategies to increase understanding, acceptance, and vulnerability in relationship. This will be challenging, active work that promotes honesty and connection. Strengthening your relationship and making sustainable change to toxic or difficult relational patterns.

INDIVIDUAL YOGA SESSIONS
I teach private yoga and “mindfulness in everyday life” to assist with connecting to present moment and living a vital life. We will focus on evidence based strategies that help us respond rather than react to all that life throws our way. We collaboratively form a home yoga practice tailored to your life’s needs, whether that be to energize and motivate you, assist in finding balance, or strategies to slow down in our anxious, fast paced world. At the end of our work you will have a home practice and strong understanding of mindfulness; designed for your lifestyle.

INSURANCE: I am paneled with First Choice.

EVIDENCE BASED COACHING

I am available for coaching sessions from anywhere in the world. I work from my downtown Winthrop office in person or via video-conference/phone.

Often we are advised to “be grateful for what we have” or “enjoy the moment”. Yet in our fast paced world this is much easier said than done. On paper everything may look wonderful, yet inside there may be an ache for more or a longing to live more fully. There are so many demands on our time and energy, we can feel empty, lonely, or lose track of meaning. Coaching is an opportunity to re-connect to what truly matters to us, and then build the tools and confidence to live a life guided by this.

If you choose to work with me we will engage in a process of deliberate and intentional awareness building with the goal of living your most vital life. It is a process of personal evolution, motivated by the desire to engage fully in this one precious life. Through evidence based practices and awareness building, we will increase confidence and trust in yourself so that you may choose your path wisely. There will be homework, lively discussions, and lots of honesty. My hope is that you leave with clarity and confidence.

NOTE: What’s the difference between therapy and coaching? Therapy addresses diagnosable psychiatric issues. coaching is about making meaning and lifestyle changes more broadly. Both engage the whole person in deep ways.

OUR RELATIONSHIP

I am passionate about supporting others in discovering (or re-discovering) their inner, true selves and then embodying this sense of self as they walk through this world. An individual who has accepted themselves may then connect more fully with others; moving with freedom towards what they care about. Through our relationship, and with my training, we build a safe environment where transformation can occur. Together we will clarify your goals, put together a plan, and along the way I will encourage you to be open, vulnerable, aware, and present. This is a collaborative process and I would be honored to embark on a journey of exploration and growth with you.

Therapy Relationship vs. Teaching Relationship
When we work together in therapy or coaching our sessions are confidential upheld by HIPAA. The work is individualized and attention is intimate. When we work together in mindfulness teaching and workshop settings my role shifts to consider the whole group. You may work with me in both modalities, just please be aware of this distinction. Our classes and workshops are not confidential and there will be less individualized attention. On a final note - it is lovely to work together in multiple domains and collaborate on this journey!
